Gut Health + PRs

Why do we keep talking about gut health and hormones when you’re here for PRs, endurance goals, and lifting targets?

When you can’t sustain a training plan, it’s because of lack of nutrient availability.

When you can’t sleep at night to recover for tomorrow, it’s because of lack of nutrient availability.

When you’re constantly craving sugar at the end of the day, it’s because of lack of nutrient availability.

When your hair is falling out, your nails are brittle, your period is wonky, and you have stress fractures, it’s because of lack of nutrient availability.

Nutrient availability is dependent on your gut.

  1. Getting what it needs
  2. Being able to extract what it needs
  3. Being able to absorb what it needs

When nutrients aren’t really available, your messenger system (that’s your hormones) gets f*cking angry.

And the end result is:

➡️ You can’t hit PRs
➡️ Your runs feel hard AF
➡️ Your lifts don’t improve
➡️ You sleep like sh*t
➡️ Your body feels more tired, softer, moodier, less capable, & just “off”
➡️ Your entire SELF feels different

And in the end it doesn’t matter what we do to your training plan, or your pre-workout fuel, or your recovery meal.

It doesn’t matter how many electrolytes you take.

We have to take care of your gut. And we have to support your messenger system.
